I've stayed at many hotels in Rome, from SLH hotels to 3-star hotels to the airport hotel. Hotel Damaso surprised and delighted me. I think it's classified as a 3-star, but it definitely over-delivers. First, location. It's located between Piazza Navona and Campo di'Fiori, within a couple of blocks' walking distance of both. The location is arguably as central as it gets if you like to walk to the Vatican, Ancient Rome, Borghese, Trastevere, Prati, etc. While it's located on a large street, it's actually quieter overnight than hotels located on smaller and more intimate streets because there aren't late-night crowds walking immediately outside. Second, people. The front-desk staff and the breakfast room staff were lovely and kind, focused on ensuring a pleasant stay. Third, room. The regular King/Deluxe room was modestly sized, but because the space was so well-designed, it not only had beautiful form but was highly functional for two people, luggage, etc. Well stocked mini fridge with reasonable prices, large complementary bottle of water and delicious bag of artisanal biscotti from Etico. The bathroom was huge and sparkling clean, good water pressure in shower, bidet, lots of shelf space. Comfy robes and slippers. Fourth, breakfast. Included in my room rate. Excellent buffet with hot and cold options. Lovely bright room with lots of seating. Finally, value. At 70% of the room rate of 5-star hotels in the area, and 85-90% of the service offerings, Hotel Damaso was a great value.

Everything was excellent! I highly recommend this hotel! - Location: is in the center of Rome. It is very close to all the city's objectives. - Room: very beautiful and clean - Breakfast: very good, diversified, excellent coffee - We were always helped by the employees when we needed anything. They were very kind! We spent New Year's Eve in Rome, and the hotel offered us the chance to see the fireworks on the hotel terrace with a glass of prosecco. It was a pleasant moment and we appreciate it.

Location is fantastic. So easy to walk to all the main tourist attractions with lots of great restaurants close to hand. Room was a little on the small side but nicely decorated and quiet despite being at the front of the hotel. Staff were all very pleasant and breakfast was good to set us up for the day. I imagine the roof terrace would be great in the summer months. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The view from Rooftop bar is wonderful! We stayed for 4 nights and each day they gave us complementary snacks and water. Breakfast was really good and has a lot of variety. Location is very nice. Also taxi stand is across from the hotel. Overall I really enjoyed staying this hotel.

Everything was ideal . The room was quiet and very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and excellent location. Breakfast was a very civilised experience- in a beautiful lounge with tall elegant windows and subtle tasteful music playing . Wide range of breakfast options and the lady serving was so friendly and attentive .
